Nutrition Services
Nutrition Services provides medical nutrition therapy to active duty service members, retirees, and dependents. Services are provided in both the outpatient and inpatient setting and range from general education to specific nutrition advice for medical conditions and athletic performance.
Outpatient appointments are offered as either individual appointments, in a group setting, or a combination of both, depending on medical diagnosis and need. To be seen in our clinic, please contact your Primary Care Manager (PCM) to request a referral.
Classes Offered
To better serve our patients, we have created specialized classes available both in-person and virtually. Patients referred for the following conditions will be directed to these classes:
- Weight Management (including GLP-1)
- Diabetes and Prediabetes
- Gestational Diabetes
- Heart Health
- Performance Nutrition
- Gastrointestinal Health
NOTE: Patients referred for conditions requiring higher clinical severity will be scheduled for one-on-one appointments. These individual appointments will take place either here at ATAMMC or at an alternate military treatment facility within the National Capital Region based on access to care and Registered Dietitian specialty.
