Filling New Prescriptions
We fill prescriptions from both military and civilian providers.
Providers from Our Facility
Your provider may submit a prescription directly to the pharmacy during or after your appointment.
- You can activate the prescription(s) and wait.
- You can come back later to pick them up.
- After your provider has submitted your prescriptions, you can select a ticket from the kiosk and wait for your number to be called.
- If you do not want to wait, you can request prescription filling remotely with Q-Anywhere by texting “Get in line” to 877-909-2513. See option 1 under Activating New Prescriptions below.
- Alternatively, you can request processing of your new prescription(s) by taking an envelope from the pharmacy lobby, filling in the required information, and placing the envelope in the Dropbox. Pharmacy staff will contact you when your medication(s) are ready for pick-up.
Civilian Providers
If you have prescriptions from a TRICARE-authorized civilian provider:
- The provider can submit an electronic prescription to our pharmacy, or
- You can hand carry a written prescription to our pharmacy. NOTE: This is the least preferred option.
To submit an electronic prescription:
Ask your provider to select the:
- Pharmacy Name: DoD Fairfax Pharmacy ePhcy
- NCPDP/NPI number: [4845991/1194122564]
- eRx Zip Code: 22033
If you hand carry a written prescription:
- Follow on-screen prompts to check in at the kiosk.
- If you are planning to wait for your hard-copy prescription(s), follow the kiosk prompts and select the ticket for New Prescription. There will be longer waits for this option.
- If you do not wish to wait, you may drop off your hard copy prescription(s) using the envelopes located in the lobby. Fill in the required information on the back of the envelope, place the hard-copy prescription(s) inside the envelope, seal it, and place it in the Dropbox. Pharmacy staff will contact you when your medication(s) are ready for pick-up.
